CROSSFIT BATTLE READYA fitness community that grows exponentially with each new member. 

                                    

                                                     Here are the Gym's GOALS:

  • Career:  Encourage each new member to strive for excellence in whatever they pursue.
  • Health:  Provide our members with choices for healthy living by promoting only the best in fitness, sport and nutrition.
  • Personal:  Create a place for everyone to train as hard as their own life requires.

Here are the Goals and Achievements of our members:

  • Career: 6 and 12 month GOAL is to contribute to the community in a unique way.
  • Health:  6 month GOAL is to practice Crossfit 3 times/week.  12 month GOAL is to stay active above ground as much as possible(Ask him to play tennis!!!) 
  • Personal:  6 Month GOAL is to master handstands and "Pistols".  12 Month GOAL is to teach us all something in Russian!!!

Update (2/22/2010): Still above the ground and active - Hurrah(checkmark). Crossfitting 4 to 5 times/week (overachivier). Great progress with handstands and pistols. Still need to teach crossfit friends "Good" Russian.

Career:  6 and 12 Month GOAL is to keep working part time and to volunteer with friends on her time off.
Health:  6 month GOAL is to establish a positive eating inventory with better quality and types of food.  12 month GOAL is to eat more local foods and learn to store them by freezing and canning(Salsa anyone???)
Personal:  6 month GOAL is to use more free time on favorite hobbies.  12 Month GOAL is to read at least 1 book a month in 2009.
 
Update (02/24/2010): Keep working part time. Maintain zone diet with a few "fall off the wagons". Workout Crossfit 4/week; Taichi 1/week, walk/sauna 3/week. Keep reading and use free time more productively.

Career:  6 month - Continue doing my job to the best of my abilities every day.  12 month - Start taking continueing education classes.

Health:  6 month - Continue to increase strength and decrease body fat%.  Deadlift 1 1/2 times body weight and complete 10 Pull-ups in a row.  12 month - Run 10k, 5 Muscle-ups ina row and complete "Linda" as prescribed.  Continue to train 3 days on 1 day off and improving on diet.

Personal:  6 Month - Start playing guitar again.  12 Month - Go fishing more than last year and finish those overdue home improvements.

Career:  6 and 12 month GOALS are to complete 27 years of service in the USAF Air National Guard and to continue to do her best at her day job.

Health:  6 month GOAL is to run a 5k and to go for a 25 mile bike ride.  12 month GOAL is to stick with Crossfit and to keep improving strength, endurance and muscle tone.

Personal:  6 month GOAL is to say NO to American Idol and the Biggest Loser and take that time to read.  12 month GOAL is to escape Greality and travel.

Health:  6 month GOAL is to not give myself a heart attack working out and bring my weight to 175lbs.  12 month GOAL is to see improvements with strength, agility, flexibility, endurance and stamina...which should equal better sleep!

Career:  6 month GOAL and 12 month GOAL is to spend as much time as possible with my daughter and son.  Also to continue working part time and maintain healthy working relationships. 

Personal:  6 month GOAL is to shake off that "old" feeling by improving my golf game and biking/hiking more.  12 month GOAL is to improve my skiing and make new Crossfit friends.

At 27 years old I was getting a beer gut, could barely touch my toes and my knees hurt.  I have always been pretty fit, so when I realized where my fitness level was heading I knew I had to do something about it.  Working out on my own wasn't working like I'd hoped.  Since I have joined Battle Ready I have lost 18lbs and feel like I did in college!  My energy levels are high, and I just plain out feel better.  It was hard waking up at 4:45am at first, but once I saw results, it was easy.  I truely am a testiment to how Crossfit works, and I try to get anyone who talks about working out to join us!

Career:  6 month GOAL is to end the year with a bang!  Keep personal relationships with my clients, see their needs and keep them happy.  12 month GOAL is to show leadership with co-workers, keep a cool head on my shoulders and a smile on my face.

Health:  6 month GOAL is to keep Crossfit in the daily routine.  Get better at eating what Amos tells me to, and keep improving on my WOD times.  12 month GOAL is to eat healthy foods, maintain a workout plan to stay at my highest levels.

Personal:  6 month GOAL is to have fun the rest of the Summer.  Go into winter strong and healthy.  12 month GOAL is to be a good husband and father.  Keep working out and stay healthy.

Career:  Learn more tricks, apply for search and rescue dogs team and be less grouchy (happens to anyone).

Health: Chasing tennis balls and sticks for unforeseeable future.

Personal: Spend as much time outdoors (love the trails) as my master's time allows.
