Battle Ready Open Total Score Now Available.  What a Great Day!!!  Thanks to everyone that competed, volunteered and came to check things out.  The event was very positive and it was evident from the get-go that the competition was gonna heat up!  My hat is off to all the athlete's that participated...everyone came to do your best and a lot of sweat, blood and tears were left on the asphalt.  Not a single competitor scaled an event and I am proud of the efforts given on every workout. In an effort to do better next time please e-mail us any comments you may have and give us a grade...A-F.  Next year will be a bit bigger and badder...look out for the introduction of the Battle Ready Belt...

***Events announcement! Workout 1 and 2 are now available...

Workout 1:  Yuri Gone Bad!!!

Three 4 minute rounds with 1 minute rest between rounds.  Athlete's will have 1 minute for max reps of each exercise and move through four exercises for each round (the clock will run continuously so move from station to station quickly!).  The exercises are Rowing for Calories, Log Thrusters (45lb Women/65lb Men), Shoot through (check the Jeff Tucker video for a demo) & Tire strikes with a sledge hammer (10lb Women/14lb Men).  The workout will be scored Fight Gone Bad style...total reps for all three rounds is the score.

Workout 2:  Amos' Leg Burner

Part a:  7 minutes As Many Reps As Possible.  8 Dumbbell Push Press (25lb Women/45lb Men), 20 yard Farmers Carry, 8 Dumbbell Front Squats (25lb Women/45lb Men), 20 yard farmers carry.  Athlete's will start with a set of dumbbell's on the floor.  Upon hearing "Go" pick up the dumbbell's and do 8 Push Press, without putting the Dumbbell's down farmers carry them 20 yards to a designated area.  Without putting the dumbbell's down do 8 Front Squats, without putting the dumbbell's down farmers carry them back to the Push Press area and repeat for max reps in 7 minutes.  If at any pointthe Dumbbell's are put on the ground to rest there will be an immediate 3 Burpee Penalty.  Score for Part A will be total reps in 7 minutes.

Part b - 3/4 Mile road run.  At the end of Part a Athlete's will hear the call of "time" at 7 minutes.  Immediately stop where you are and exit out the parking lot and begin the road run course (the course will be mapped out for everyone).  Run score will be a maximum of 105 points (5 minutes or under) and decrease by 5 points every 20 seconds with a cut-off time of 12 minutes (3 points).

*The score for Workout 2 will be the total reps from Part a combined with the run score from Part b*

**It is our hope that everyone will embrace the spirit of competition and attempt these workouts as prescribed regardless of the end score (check the ego's at the door please).  However, we want everyone to compete safely and without injury if possible, so we will scale ANY portion of this competition to fit any Athlete's needs...just ask and we will do our best to accommodate.**

Workout 3:  Blake's Stone Buster - Will be announced at the completion of Workout 2!!!

***Formerly the Battle Ready Games...the Crossfit Battle Ready Open is back for a second year.  We are planning 3 workouts in one day that will be inclusive for all fitness levels but challenge even the most elite athletes.  Cost is free again this year for ALL members of Crossfit Affiliates!!! ($25 for those who aren't affiliate members).  Start time is 9:00am.  E-mail Blake or Amos your name and what Affiliate you train at to SIGN-UP now!!!

We will have Cheba hut sandwich trays, fruit and probably a keg delivered in the afternoon during the 3rd workout so plan accordingly...bring lunch, snacks and water.
